FAQ : Ultraflash module
1
My GC2 has quite old serial number, 31xx. Do I need to modify some boards in my GC2 in order to use your Ultraflash?
No problem, don't worry about serial number, my Ultraflash module is compatible to any GC2 unit and no need to upgrade its flash control board. Customers who have serial number of 37xx from Malaysia, 36xx from CA USA and 16xx from Melbourne Australia and many customers (who didn't inform us about their serial number) have ordered the Ultraflashes from us and had very good feedbacks.
2
Does the existing GC2 Flash Triggering Control Board need to be removed or modified in any way in order to use your Ultra Flash module?
No it doesn't need.
3
Your web page shows that it is 100% compatible but the same page also shows how to remove the Flash Triggering Control Board?, Why?
We confirm our flash module is 100% compatible to any GC2 unit. However, any flash control board of GC2 unit could be broken or deteriorated after using for years (we experienced that sometime flash module was broken together with flash control board) then we have the service of repairing for this board so we tried to show how to remove it before sending it to us.
4
Does the board need to be removed or changed in order to use your Ultra Flash?
No it doesn't need. However, Foresight sport recommended customers to update GC2 firmware to version 4.0.0.15 for perfect working with Superflash. The link for download is below.
Yes, we do repair the flash control board as well. This board works for flash module and could be broken when it has used for years. Some time it was broken together with flash module.
6
Can you advise if it will cope with your Ultraflash as I have heard stories about mother boards burning out???"
It's impossible to burn out the GC2 mother boards. Because there is no signal feedback from a flash module or a flash control board to the mother board. It is an open-loop signal or one way controlling signal from the mother board to the flash control board in order to make the clear pictures of a golf ball . It looks like when you take photo by a camera with flash light.
7
My GC2 display is dim and black but still readable. Can you repair this condition and what does it cost?
Yes, we can. The cost is 170 USD not including shipping cost.
8
Are you still selling GC2 flashes, my serial number is 96##?
Can I choose the standard shipping for a battery pack?
No, you can not. Because battery is a restricted item on air transportation, we need to use only DHL which is the express shipping. So we can not send the restricted item via standard shipping.
10
I installed the flash module I received but my gc2 is still not reading ball data. Is there a way to test it?
How does the cooperation/payment process work — do I pay you including shipping, and then you send the item?
Please inform us your requirements for example, quantity, shipping type, your name or company name and shipping address. Then we will calculate the total amount and send you the invoice with payment link .
12
Does there need to be any modifications for this flash module?
No it does not. Our Ultraflash is 100% compatible to any GC2 unit.
13
Also because your module screen looks bigger, will it work inside the gc2 protective cage?
Yes, of course, it will work. Because all outside dimensions of the Ultraflash are same as the original flash module. Moreover,
if you know the " Superflash" from "Foresight sports", you would know, it's born to make the flash module works better and longer.
And we have developed our Ultraflash to be the best option for the Superflash replacement use. Then, of course, all dimensions of the Ultraflash must be same as the Superflash.
